Hello ,
Aion is a game with a strong PVP aspect, having been introduced as such to the world. It is frustrating when enemies form groups and get organized and lay siege to a zone. Traveling elsewhere is usually the best way to avoid the conflict. As far as the levels of the other players not being visible, Aion does not show the level of any opposing player. This helps to prevent ganking, as the level of the opposing players is not visible, battles must be chosen wisely. You can also try forming a group and taking the fight back to them. Hopefully you can slip away and go about your leveling.
Good luck,
GM Azerian

@ Tank
I know this comes as a surprise to you tank but Aion is a PvP game and with PvP comes ganking. I know it sucks to get ganked over and over and over but you either learn to deal with it or move on to another game.
I like the fact that you cannot see the other players level since you have to pick your fights and not just storm in. Maybe try and stick it out and everytime you get ganked make a note that once you get to 40+ or even 50 you will be griefing the griefers.

Re: Aion's view of Ganking
Yeah stick it out dude. Nobody has been ganked as much as i have
when we all get some lvl's under our belts, we can get a 24 man alliance going, and have some fun ourselves. If your not rdy for pvp, then search the mountains for their Kisks, and kick some crap out of that, so they cant respawn. Thats almost as satisfying.
PM me in game, & ill show you 2 common spots for kisks.

No, don't destroy their kisk!
Rather, take up a comfortable seat next to it and... wait. When they eventually get killed, which they will, they will respawn back to their kisk anticipating a calm environment to regather their thoughts and their health.
That's when you jump up and introduce yourself.
Unless they are a much higher lvl than you and therefor immune to your attacks, they are about to have a very unfortunate rifitng experience.

Re: Aion's view of Ganking
Ok, I took a long look at what you guys are saying and this is my 2c...
I hate it when 2 or more Asmos kick the crap out of me, like most of you do, I'd imagine. Heiron seems particularly bad.
But 1 v 1 battles I always see as a challenge (and lots of fun!). If the guys beats me fair and square - good on him. I'll go check up on his character stats after to help me figure out what I did wrong. If he is 150 brazillion levels higher than me, great - he didnt get much/any AP from me and I didn't loose much/any either. So bit of a waste of time for him I'd say...
Point is, you have an opportunity to learn a bit more from "most" encounters. If you change your view and attitude a bit you as player will get better at this PvP thing. Just don't get emotional about dying at the hands of another player.
Heck, I get more upset if I die in PvE because that actually really hurts my pocket.
PvP deaths? Nah, 1 Kinah and a little AP lost... You still end up making much much more AP than what is lost in the long run.

Re: Aion's view of Ganking
Hi there.
How did you get hold of that mythical spawn - the GM?
My only gripe with the pvp aspect is the major difference that level makes.
They should have done away with the resist/evasion mechanic in pvp completely - that's what other games did and it works really well. Higher level characters already have more HP and higher dmg abilities, so no need to make the fight one-sided completely.
I should probably go post in some suggestions forum or something.
Ciao

Re: Aion's view of Ganking
Lol, i have my sources.. I got the GM via email using cunning.
Basically i lied through my teeth, told them i was from some fictional publication, and wanted a reply to a readers answer on Ganking.. Good job he didnt want a copy of the Magazine.
