so i am a wow player for more than 3years now and i hope this will take over! i need some help tho? i run windows xp(sp2)core 2 due{2.6)4gig ram(altho system doesnt read more that 2,6 or something)gt250:ddr3 card. so im sure my pc is fine for the game.

ok here is the problem,i bought the discs and installed, everything seemed to install fine.i ran all the updates overnight(780mb)or something then created my account and paid for 1month to check it out. now when i want to log i get this "id password error" now i have tried resseting my password at ncsoft(didnt work)next they give u this option of frequent ask qst...and so i tried to go into my install folder,open launcher,file setting,regeon...blah blah blah,but i dont have that "file" in my launcher folder...anywhere i can look for this f/king folder where i can try to set regeon?

i wrote to tec support aswell.maybe u guys can help...please!
i live in benoni,but ill travel to sort this out if i need to.

If it is the region settings, that is in the File tab of your NCSoft Lancher.

Goto File, select Settings, then the Advanced Tab, you will find the region here, make sure that it is Europe.

If it is already set to Europe there may be an issue where you have purchased the NA version in which case you will be on the American servers, so you will need to change accordingly.

Hope this has some results for ya.

omg...i found that now it says i updated north america? on my cd it says(aion eu-uk-sca2)on the box.lord dont tell me i wasted all this downloading?

I think you just need to change the setting, dont think there will be another dl

I just find it weird that it will try to download the NA version if you bought the EU version... I think its something else.

Does your box say EU or NA? (Cant remember if it is even stated on the box).
If it does say EU then it shouldnt download the NA patch. I cant see how that can happen as the EU version is EU specific and the moment you install the EU AION client it installs the EU NCSoft Launcher...

(Soz I am just rambling)

But yes the best would be to get the client from someone, like I said, if you willing to drive. You can gladly come copy it from me

The issue is with the launcher, it's reading your region settings from XP which is set to English US version and then installing the US aion conversion. Same happened to me when I first installed.

But after the launcher update this shouldn't happen anymore but since you experiencing this problem still I made a wall of text for you to go through

First solution is to change your PC to english UK but I doubt that you have the cab files to complete the change. If this isn't working for you read the workaround solution below

Workaround: Reinstall everything but do not launch the game. Once the install is complete create a copy of the installation folder and call it something like aion2

Once you have two copies on your pc launch the game, it will try and update immediately just cancel the update and delete the game from your launcher. Will pop up something about that you need to uninstall the game, ignore that you can do it later. What you need to do is add a Aion(UK) game manually with your launcher, direct that new game to the Aion2 folder and launch it. It will download all the uk patches.

Please note that while you doing updates, if the update contains "NA" in the filename it means you are busy downloading the wrong patch. If you follow the above workaround it will download the "UK" patches and you'll be playing in no time

Also you need to do a proper uninstall of the first installation you made so you are only left with the UK version in that Aion2 directory
