Watchers Event Schedule

Post by Spark-e on Tue Jan 26, 2010 2:16 pm

L E G I O N

Underneath the brand spanking new Watcher Events Schedule!

As mentioned, instead of setting aside one day for a specific type of event, legion members will now have various days to choose from.

It is requested that all legion members try to participate in these events as much as they can.

Sinnerfury’s guide on various instances helped alot with this schedule, if you want more information on the instance and dungeon events, like level requirements please visit his thread by clicking the link underneath

http://www.aionsouthafrica.com/guides-f41/raids-instanced-dungeons-for-elyos-t477.htm

Please feel free to inform me should there be any mistakes to this schedule, or any oversights. Note that this events schedule is a trail run only, at the end of the week we will take a look at how it went and if the proposed structure and set up isn’t working it will be revised.

Suggestions are always more than welcome if you have a nice idea for an event let me know please! After all the kinks have been sorted out, a new thread will be created, posted as a sticky and updated weekly.

How the events will work.

Start times
for these events will be provided, where grouping will take place for round about 15 min (at the most 30min). Seeing that most of the events are level range specific it will be up to the individuals of that level range to start with the invites and get the group together. Officer will be expected to assist where necessary.

Not everyone is online at once so there might be times that you wont have a full legion group, so after seeing that a full legion group is possible it will be the group leaders responsibility to sent out LFG for a PUG. As we grow as legion and level more we hope to use of PUGs will become less.

PvP events will be dependable on the availability of rifts and the vulnerability of Fortresses. If none of them are available we hit the abyss as legion, for artifact taking or just cause mayhem as we go along.

World boss
events will depend on if they have spawned or not and if you have enough people online to take them on.

Fortress sieges will be divided in upper and lower abyss groups and dependable on if we control any of the fortress (currently we own all of them)

I have not included lvl 50 Instances as yet just shout if you want me to, same goes for anyone that is interested in Alquimia Research Center and Draupnir Cave, anyone done these?

The group questing is self explanatory, basically player form groups to do quest quicker and faster and and level quickly

Thanks Nix, an excellent starting point. As you mentioned, this will need ironing out and will change as the legion requirements change but it does very nicely for now.

Two requests though if I may;
1. Please add Lepharist Citadel to the Elite Areas.
2. Perhaps we should include fort instances for all "Instance" days? This allows for greater scope depending on the mood of the guys online for the night. It's fair to say you will be expected to participate in an instanced event but we should not limit what that instance may be. A decision can be made by the organising officer online just before 19:00 after they discuss it with the guys who have logged in.

Also, for clarification, I see these events have recommended start times. Can I take it then that if no-one has started, or is interested in, an instance on a Tuesday (for example), I will then be free to PUG it If I want to? What I am getting at is that we should make sure we are available at the start times for events but if nothing is happening on that day we can then move on and do our own thing? I would hate to start SR with a PUG only to get asked to join a legion SR run at 8. Some instances take a long time to run so we need a cut-off time at which we can PUG if we can't wait for others to log.

Besides, we all know I love my SR PUG's Smile

On consideration, a further suggestion would be to remove the Bodygaurd event from the event list and make Fridays a "free for all, do what you want" night. In my opinion, every day should be a bodygaurd day. If a mate needs help he/she should not have to wait till Friday to be guaranteed of an escort. This leads back to a previous post I made (somewhere) regarding player mentoring. Not necessarily in the sense of guidance or advise (unless needed of course) but in terms of, "ganked in Heiron again!". Mentor saddles up and goes to escort his padawan...

Great work though and /10char for the drive and initiative you showing here Nix. It's much appreciated and I for one can honestly say that the Watchers vibe is awesome at the moment.

Great Job Nix!

I do have to say that unfortunately 7:30 or 7:45 will be the earliest I can join in any event. 7 is dinner/family time unfortunately and that cannot be changed. So I will just try my luck then to see if there is a spot open for me in any groups going that night.

Please also add in TC. It mite not be important to the higher level guys but I know some lower levels would like that.

And then my last 2c's NIX FOR GENERAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
cheer!

doh! i had LC in there! Got lost in the copy and paste i guess!

Thanks for the feedback Rad, like always good points.First time i do this type of thing so decided on the "lets fine tune as we go along" approach, so i welcome feedback. In regards with the instances and PUGs, ideally we would like to have full legion groups going, currently its difficult but as we grow as legion and get more members we can achieve that. And yes after 15-30min or so you find that a legion group aint gonna happen you are allowed to PUG. If say you are 3/6 legion members you can PUG... once agian full legion participation is the desirable but its not limited to that

Agreed on Body Guard event!

mmmmm yeah the fort instances was a bit of tough one for me, seeing that there is only so many days in the week and somewhere you have to leave open for questing... but yeah i like the idea that it be discussed before hand, availability of players will have an effect here aswell. I will add it to fortress instances

Any suggestions what event to add on Thursdays? Or we make it general grinding questing day like friday?

Cayli just shout for what group you wanna be in before hand and we save you a spot!

Ok now this is what we've needed for quite a while! Looking good Nix, thanks.

Just one quick thing: For FT, TC for example, I can grab one of my alts from Watchers II if required. I think this would be good to remember for all events - hop onto vent and run with an alt if space permits. Yes?

Double XP weekends might present a problem... getting people out of grind mode to come and join in an instance etc. But we'll see Razz
