What makes clerics good in this game is mana management and their heals. they just never run outa mana.

Now they are a bit tedious to level tho in the beginning because they don't do a hell of alot of damage but be assured you can take on any class in my opinion and survive without any hassles.
Me and a another cleric buddy for instance 2manned the whole Black Claw village which you asmodian guys would know is full of elites.

Now on the other hand if you want a monk wearing chain mail on steroids go chanter. They fork out more than enough damage got loads of buffs (at the moment my lvl22 chanter running around with 8 buffs) and got a decent amount of heals to keep them alive in battle then chanter is the way to go

Well clerics are pretty usefull in most areas of the game. Some think they are a bit OP but I think the same of a lot of the other classes (SM, Sorc). The really good healing skills only come between lvl 40 and 50. But I find the current skills pretty useful. The only problem I have is the casting time on some. Oh, and carry lots of mana pots if you intend to spam-heal a lot...

I have to agree that the cast time seems a bit ridiculous. Also another factor that was sad to me was the difficulty level of NTC. I mean you can run that with a Glad tanking and a chanter healing. To level 25 levels and get to your 1st instance just to pop 1 heal per fight makes unhappy. I like to be under pressure when healing Smile

NTC is very easy, but wait till Dark Poeta, Steel Rake, Alqerium Lab (Something like that, can't remember the name) Razz

Much more difficult than NTC is. NTC is pure tank and spank really. When I was 25 I did it with a Gladiator (Tank) Cleric as the healer, me as a spiritmaster and a chanter. We did it no problem, and rather quick as well.

True Smile
It does happen from time to time though. The later instances are pretty hairy. Heck, even something like Lepharist Labs are tough with just one healer...
